Prof Jonathan Jansen, a leading academic, talks with Cape Media and BN Radio about the crisis in education in South Africa.
He says the government could no longer deny there was a crisis in education when it only worked for a small percentage of middle class children. Prof Jonathan Jansen says that privileged schools has no interruptions to teaching and learning whereas the schools of the poor are routinely disrupted or trashed by adults, by unions, activists, gangsters, without any effective intervention.
Prof Jonathan Jansen takes aim at the South African government and officials as a seemingly uncaring government.
