RICCARDO TEMMERS

 

Riccardo Temmers, PMP®, is currently employed with Coega Development Corporation as a Senior Project Manager within the Centre of Excellence where they seek to implement best practices in the field of project management at the Corporation.


Before joining the CDC, he worked in the nuclear industry at Eskom’s Head Office, Megawatt Park. He was appointed as a project manager he was part of Eskom’s planning team responsible for the construction of the next multi-billion rand nuclear power station in South Africa. He holds qualifications in Civil Engineering from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and a post-graduate diploma inNuclear Science and Technology from North-West University. He is currently completing his research dissertation for his master’s degree at the University of Pretoria, on the topic of innovation. Riccardo is a Project Management Professional accredited with the Project Management Institute, PMI® in the United States.


He enjoyed seven years working in the United Kingdom, where he spent most of his time employed by Capita Symonds, an International Consulting Practice. His experience spans 20 years in the construction and built environment. He started out working for Royal HaskoningDHV, then known as Stewart Scott Incorporated in 1995. His time spent working overseas allowed him to travel around Europe visiting several countries. On a lighter side he enjoyed being in Paris on the night when the Springboks beat the English and became the champions of Rugby World Cup tournament in 2007.
